Amazon
Finding the job with the most flexibility and the most benefits is important.
Career Choice is an amazing program ran by Amazon for Amazonians. It includes $5,250 per year for tuition as well as offering up to 10 hours off a week for school!
This program is currently available to Amazon Associates Tier 1 to 3, so starting positions. Management and more advanced positions would not qualify.
Please note that I do not guarantee your admission or benefits, I am just informing you of a program that is currently available. -
Recommended Stethoscopes
Choosing the right stethoscope for you is important. My stethoscope of choice is a Littmann Cardiology IV Diagnostic Stethoscope.
I will go over choosing a stethoscope in the “Getting Started” section soon. I will also go over some simple procedures to give you an idea of why the aspects I have pointed out are important. If you do not have hearing problems (which most of my classmates have not had issues) a cheaper stethoscope would be the better choice.
I chose a Cardiology Stethoscope because of my hearing. The Littmann Stethoscope is the best one I have used as of yet. It is very expensive to buy. However, I am working with people and my hearing is not the best. I need a better tool to put me on the same level as my peers.
Here is a Link to check this stethoscope out on my Amazon Affiliate page. -
Learning and Retention
I will be listing multiple websites I use for learning, refreshing my memory, and quizzing myself.
Quizlet.com - A lot of this information is accurate, anyone can make their own quizlet cards and publish them, so there may be some inaccuracy. However I have had very good luck with this site, as have my classmates.
ATI Testing -The ultimate site for TEAS testing prep. This is an expensive site to use. However it was extremely useful for me and taught me a lot of information that I did not know.
Khan Academy - This site has courses over almost anything you would like to learn. It is also a great refresher for topics you already know and would like to brush up on. They have quizzes over sections of their courses, and they are free. I use this site mostly for mathematics and chemistry. -
Backpacks
One of my dilemmas in school is choosing a good backpack that will hold all of my books and equipment. My favorite is a backpack that I use for hiking in my downtime. It has a compartment for your laptop, as well as room for your books. It has a roll up top, so instead of using a zipper and attempting to put tall boxes (ie stethoscope box) in your bag, you can just roll the bag up to the size you need it. Here’s my affiliate link for my Osprey Backpack.
I have also included a significantly cheaper version that I have not yet tried yet from a different brand here.
